Christingle and the Alternative Carol Service
A wonderful weekend with everyone involved and playing to their strengths, and with over 400 attending. It began with a great turnout on Saturday morning to decorate the church, designed by our artists. On Sunday morning, the children's choir, dressed as angels, led the carol singing, and we had a "rapped" memory verse, prayers led by a family and christingles for all the children - then mulled wine and mince pies. The evening kicked off with a solo performance of "Silent Night", followed by readings from our actors, carols led by the band and a 2-part "message of Christmas". Mulled wine and mince pies again, naturally. And invitations to next term's Alpha course. Very special to see so many people using their different gifts to pull off services of such creativity and quality.
