Ordinary Time

Last Sunday was the first Sunday after Trinity, known in the church calendar as the start of Ordinary time.
So roughly half the year is taken up with doctrine – things for us to believe and trust, about the incarnation, cross, resurrection, Ascension, Pentecost and so on – and half is to do with working out the implications of those things in our lives.
