Last night was our second ever student team night, and if you missed it – you missed out!
We decked out the hall like a living room and had food, chatted, and enjoyed a quiz from Jonny and Matt with guest quiz master Tom. Imaginative team names varied from Quiztina Aguilera to the puntastic Quiztians and a Jay Z inspired ‘I’ve got 99 problems but this quiz ain’t one’. We followed this with a time of worship and then Alex talked to us about Galatians with the aid of a ‘Prezi’ which illustrated his points perfectly. Highlights included awkward family photos (you don’t have to try to be like someone else), a clip from Bridget Jones’ Diary (Mark Darcy - I mean - God loves you just as you are) and owners which look like their dogs... (enough said). We ended the night with some prayer, pack-down, and the pub.
We’re so excited about what’s going on with students at the moment and we love these team nights. Things we’re looking forward to this term include hosting the 6 cafe this Sunday, joining the Helping People team at Safehaven next month, and of course the Tashes and Lashes Anniversary Party!
