Join a Team

Teams are our network of midweek groups, meeting fortnightly on Tuesday evenings, in venues across Brighton – for friends, fun, worship, discussion, prayer.  Teams vary in size, and the alternate Tuesday is left free for small groups to emerge from within the teams, of all different shapes.  Joining a team will enable you to feel at home at St Peter’s and make friends.  A team is a place to know and be known, and in many ways the most important expression of church life at St Peter’s.

Currently, there are 10 teams, and each one is also attached to part of the vision: everyone is free to choose at what level they wish to be committed, but hopefully there is something for everyone.  And even those who cannot make it along to a Tuesday team night can nevertheless still be part of a team, by helping out on a Saturday evening at Safehaven for example, or on Sunday at the Ten or Six.
Each team is attached to one or other of the following functions – to a great or lesser extent – and of course we find there’s nothing like helping out together to further build community and feel a part of things.

• The Ten (making St Peter's the warmest, most welcoming place to be on a Sunday morning)

• The Six (making St Peter's the warmest, most welcoming place to be on a Sunday evening)

• Kids (making The Ten on Sunday potentially the best hour of any child's week)

• Helping People (making a difference to the world around us, especially through Safehaven, our meal with the street community)

• Support (working behind the scenes to make our courses and activities run as brilliantly as possible)

• Students (to find a home in Brighton, friendships and food)
