Groups

Groups are a key part of our church life here at St Peter’s

If you wish to explore the idea of leading a group yourself or simply have a fantastic idea for a group please fill in the form here

Groups provide a place to go beyond our Sunday services, where friendships are formed and we can grow deeper in our faith.

We meet in a variety of locations across the city and beyond. If you're into running, science, are a mum of a little one, want to get to know your Bible better or if Sunday Lunch is your love language - there’s something for everyone! Just search by ‘Home’, ‘Special Interest’, ‘Course’ or ‘Try for a Term’ or click on the map to search by location.

Autumn term Groups are here!

Faith and Flat Whites
Thu
10:30
Brighton
(Bible Study,Books,Cafe,Women,Young Adults)
The luxury of personal study combined with friends over flat whites is eternally appealing to me, add in a slice of cake and I'm sold (and on a weekday too! Heaven!). A 10-Session In depth study of the story of Esther is a profile in courage and contains many modern parallels for today's overloaded and stressed woman. Esther, while a queen, lived as an outsider in a hostile environment. Women will learn strong lessons of faith, providence, and hope to equip them to live courageously "for such a time as this." We will be studying the book of Esther using interactive teaching videos, plus 5 personal study segments with homework to be completed between the 10 weeks of group sessions (to get the most out of this study the homework is a must – but it's well worth it!). The cost to cover the materials is £25 but if you have any questions please speak to Jodi. We will be meeting on the following dates: 17 Jan, 31 Jan,14 Feb, 28 Feb, 14 March, 28 March, 25 April, 9 May, 23 May,6 June Led by Jodi Luke.

Perhaps you are sure that you will foster or adopt in the future, but for whatever reason, you know that it is not yet the right time. Or it may be that you have been prompted to find out more and are simply seeking to be open to whatever God has for your future. Whatever stage of the journey you are on, this course will equip you to better understand fostering and adoption, and enable you to make well-informed decisions. 7th,14th, 21st January

Step Out the Boat!
Tue
19:30
Brighton
(Prayer,Young Adults)
Step Out The Boat! is a group for those who want to take Jesus to the streets of Brighton. We will run through a small amount of training before 'Treasure Hunting'; praying and listening to God before hitting the streets to find the treasure God is pointing us to find and share whatever God has given us. We will then regroup to share testimonies and pray to finish! God is calling us to be bold, obedient and to rely on His power rather than our own. As such this group is as much for experienced evangelists as well as new Christians/those who have never done this before. For those who want more, we are partnering with BHOP (Brighton House of Prayer) which is a group for prayer, worship and intercession. We recommend that anyone joining Step Out The Boat also joins BHOP. Led by Hannah and Adam
