FAQs for Covid Sundays

COVID-19 FAQS

NHS Track and Trace

- St Peter’s will temporarily use your information during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we may already have your data there are now additional reasons to collect the name and phone number of all visitors to our buildings in order to support the NHS Track and Trace service.

- NHS Track and Trace helps the NHS to quickly identify people who may have been exposed to COVID-19 in order to reduce the spread of the virus. They do this by testing anyone with symptoms, tracing those who may have been in contact with that person and then alerting those contacts that they need to self-isolate.

- We need your name, a contact number, the date of your visit and your arrival/departure time. If there is more than one person in the group, then one person can be the ‘lead member’ and only their information needs to be recorded plus the number in the group.

- We will only pass on your details if the NHS contact us to say that they need this data.

- We only keep this information for 21 days and will dispose of it after that time.

- Please familiarise yourself with the information below to ensure you and those around you have a safe time with us at St Peter’s Live.

Tickets

- Our capacity is limited so that we can ensure you are all safely socially distanced. To ensure that you get a seat, just book your seat via our website before you arrive (see https://stpetersbrighton.org/sundays). Tickets will be available every week from Monday midday. You can book tickets for your family, friends or even that person you’ve been meaning to invite! We just ask that you only book tickets for those you know are coming so that others don’t miss out.

- Booking is through ChurchSuite, the same system we’ve used for Carols and all our other events so you should be familiar with it. If you have not booked your seat, you can turn up on the day however we can’t guarantee your admission. You will join a waiting list, register your details and if we have capacity then we will welcome you into the building.

- Doors will open 15 minutes before the service begins. If you haven't arrived by the time the service begins, we reserve the right to give your ticket away.

- We have tried to create a seating layout that makes everyone feel as comfortable as possible. Seating will be arranged in accordance with the latest social distancing guidelines. Households and bubbles will of course be able to sit together.

Hygiene

- All those attending St Peter’s Live will be required to wear a face mask. We will have spares should you forget yours. On arrival you will have your temperature checked and be asked to sanitise your hands.

- Between services the team will be doing an amazing job of sterilising all surfaces as well as toilets. Please note the toilets will only be available to use in emergencies.

- If you are experiencing any symptoms or are feeling unwell, please do not come to church. Instead watch our 10.30am online service.

Communion

Communion will take place at the 8am service each week. Everyone will be offered a wafer which will be distributed in a hygienic way in accordance with strict Church of England guidance.

Entrances & Exits

Everyone will enter the building through the main church doors where, after you’ve been checked in and followed our health & safety protocol (see hygiene section) you will be taken to your seat by one of our team. At the end of the service you will be asked to remain in your seat until one of the team show you which door will be your exit. This is to reduce congestion at our entry and exit points.

Giving

We won’t be having an offering during the service however, should you wish to give there will be contactless giving stations positioned by the exits set up and ready for you to give to the work of St Peter’s. Speak to a member of the team if you have cash or a cheque and they will guide you through our new procedure.

COVID-19 Symptoms

If you have been diagnosed with or experienced symptoms of COVID-19 you must not come to a St Peter’s Live service. Likewise, if you have been in close contact with someone diagnosed or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 please stay at home. In addition, if you have returned from international travel or been in close contact with someone who has returned from international travel in the last 14 days please stay at home.

Accessibility

We want St Peter’s to be a place where everyone is welcome. If you have any accessibility requirements please get in touch with us in advance and we will endeavour to accommodate your needs and make sure the necessary arrangements are made.

Track and Trace

We want to assist the NHS track and trace system and therefore by reserving a seat for St Peter’s Live you agree that your details may be shared with NHS Test and Trace in the event of a COVID-19 outbreak. For more information see our privacy policy.
