SPEAR BRIGHTON

We believe young people can overcome whatever barriers they face.
Spear Brighton is for 16 to 24-year-olds from disadvantaged backgrounds not in education, employment or training (NEET).
We help disadvantaged young people overcome the challenges they face and build vital skills for their career, be fully prepared for the workplace and commit to long-term employment.
How does Spear work?
6 week coaching programme – run by 3 experienced coaches
Practical training such as writing a good CV and mock interview practice
A year of support for each trainee to help them find a job and succeed in work
The Impact
3 out of 4 young people completing the Spear Programme not only enter employment, training or further education but are still there a year later.
“For the first time, I felt that someone believed I could do something with my life” (Hasfo, Spear Graduate)
How to get involved
Join us at a Spear Celebration – these evenings are held in St Peters at the end of each six week course and are a great opportunity to hear directly from the young people about the impact Spear has had on their lives, to celebrate their success and to encourage them on their journey ahead.
There are many other ways you can get involved – mock interviews, mentoring, running a company visit or introducing us to a business, charitable trust or a friend who might be interested in partnering with us and financially supporting our Spear Programme.
