Tackling Mental Health Together

Our aim is to be a church community that supports everyone in their mental health and well-being. We run the following courses and events to help in that.

The Well is a termly event for those living with mental health issues, those supporting others, and anyone interested in the area of mental health. We hear from speakers about their experiences of mental health issues and the impact of Christian faith. It’s a chance to chat with others, to challenge some of the myths and stigmas around mental health through the power of connecting with each other, over a lovely continental breakfast.

If you find worry or anxiety becoming a problem in your life this course might be helpful for you. We look at tips on how we can tackle the worrying habitual thoughts and what God and the Bible have to say about this issue. We also hear stories from people on the team who are moving out of anxious thought patterns and we support, help, and listen.

2 March - 6 April

This is a short, practical course to help people living with depression. We meet in a home, with a supportive, informal atmosphere. The course provides practical information and discussion about different methods of managing the illness, particularly in the context of the Christian faith.
