Come and experience the beauty of light and nature, as part of St Peter’s Church 200-year celebrations. LIFE by Luxmuralis is a spectacular light show that fills the church space with a radiant light display, taking a journey through earth, sea and sky, accompanied by atmospheric music and soundscapes.

About Life
LIFE is a journey through 24 hours on our planet, from Sunrise to Sunset, through sun, oceans and clouds. It’s designed to inspire viewers to reflect on the beauty of life, and contemplate their own journeys.
The experience will last around 45 minutes as you move throughout the building.
LIFE is produced and presented by artist Peter Walker, composer David Harper and Luxmuralis. Luxmuralis are a collaborative team of artists from different backgrounds and disciplines, who take art into the public, onto the streets and unexpected places.

We are so grateful to our funders The National Lottery Heritage Fund and the organisations who are supporting us in running this event. All profits for this event will go towards the continued restoration of the church and in particular this project will be going towards the Tower restoration.

Please read these FAQs carefully before booking your tickets.
What kind of event is this?
LIFE by Luxmuralis is an immersive son-et-lumiere, or sound and light, projection artwork taking place inside the church. It is an immersive sound and light installation on the walls and ceiling of the church interior. There will be very limited seating as the idea is to move around within the light show.
How strict are the arrival and departure times?
It is important to arrive promptly for the time shown on your ticket. It may not be possible to admit latecomers. Although there is no fixed time to leave the church once you are inside, we would expect your whole visit to last around 45 minutes.
How should I travel to the church?
We would actively encourage all ticket holders to come via sustainable transport. We have bike racks right outside the church and having a great cycle lane that passes by. Being centrally located, we’re on lots of central bus route and we’re only a short walk from Brighton train station.
If you do need to drive, please visit the Brighton & Hove council website for details on where to park nearby.
If I can’t come, can I get a refund?
Tickets are non refundable, however dependant on availability, we may be able to exchange in order to book for an alternative slot. Otherwise we are not able to offer refunds. Please email heritage@stpetersbrighton.org to request an exchange.
Is the event suitable for children?
Absolutely, yes! It’s an event to enjoy for the whole family. A Child ticket is only required for those 14 and under. Children under the age of 4 will not require a ticket. Though particularly young children may find the experience more challenging as it is immersive with recorded music and moving imagery.
Will we have to queue up to get in?
Yes, for a short while. We ask you to arrive shortly ahead of your ticket time so that you can be admitted promptly.
Is this event wheelchair accessible?
Yes, there is level, step-free access inside the church throughout. A wheelchair accessible toilet is available. Please note that there will be no Blue Badge parking on site, due to the nature of the event.
Will tickets be on sale at the door?
Yes, tickets will be on sale at the door if they are available. We strongly advise that you book your tickets in advance.
Dogs
Assistance dogs only are permitted at this event.
